Our Facility

Biomechanics Lab

Our lab is equipped with the latest research-level tools to identify inefficient form, weak points, track recovery and measure gains. We are one of a handful of private clinics in the country to incorporate a data lab of this magnitude as part of our everyday process.

Biomechanics

is the science of the movement of a living body, including how muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments work together to move.

Using the Tools of the Future for the Problems of Today

Our team utilizes an array of scientific instruments to measure each patient’s biomechanical state. The data we collected is essential in the development of an informed recovery program that caters to each patient’s physical goals.

Our technology includes a 3D Motion Capture Arena & Force Plate to fine tune technique efficiency, as well as a Biodex & EMG to quantify muscle activity and strength balance. The use of these tools is guided by an exceptionally educated staff whose backgrounds include physics, biomechanics, biochemistry and functional anatomy.

Our tools

We use various tools to help us measure your performance and identify areas of improvement.

Surface EMG

Electromyography (EMG) is a technique for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles.

Force Plate

Designed to collect data on forces developed during stepping, jumping, and other human-scale actions.

3d Motion Capture

Used to capture the movement of people, animals or objects, transferring it to a 2D or 3D model and animating it with the set of recorded movements.

Biodex

Built to evaluate strength, endurance, power and range of motion of all major joints and muscles, and provides highly detailed objective data results of their performance.
